
Traveling exhibition "restauramar"
The traveling exhibition 'Restauramar' passes through Estepona to raise awareness among the population about caring for the sea in the face of climate change
The exhibition can be visited from November 27 to December 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with free admission
The Estepona City Council informs that the Padre Manuel Cultural Center will host the traveling exhibition 'Restauramar' from November 27 to December 2.
Through this initiative, the Provincial Council of Málaga, Málaga Más Viva and the Aula del Mar Mediterráneo Foundation, in collaboration with the Estepona City Council, want to convey to citizens the need to conserve and restore marine and coastal ecosystems in the face of the climate change.
Key actions to guarantee our quality of life, our survival and that of all species, and essential to mitigate the effects of climate change.
The 'Restoremar' exhibition contains large descriptive panels of the seabed, models, informative material and other elements that will enrich the public's knowledge of the marine environment, and will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The initiative will consist of a program of daily participatory activities, guided by environmental educators, and will be divided into three thematic areas: 'Biodiversity on the coast and marine environment of the province of Malaga', 'Challenges faced by the seas and oceans ', and 'Good practices that take care of the sea'.
The exhibition may receive free visits from groups, previously arranged at restauramar.famm@auladelmarmed.org, and interested persons, which represents an opportunity for the general public and, mainly, for the students of the educational centers, as well as members of associations and groups interested in the conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems.
