The City Council commemorates the birth of the great composer García Fajer with a free concert at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center
The concert also commemorates the 18th Anniversary of the Foundation that bears the name of the Rioja composer, and will take place on Saturday, December 2, at 8:00 p.m., performed by Kameliya Naydenova (violin) and Tomás Navas (classical guitar) . Free access.
The Estepona City Council informs that the Padre Manuel Cultural Center will host next Saturday, December 2, at 8:00 p.m., a concert commemorating the creation of the García Fajer Foundation, on its 18th Anniversary, by a duo made up of the new musical icon of the Foundation, the Bulgarian violinist Kameliya Naydenova, together with Tomás Navas on classical guitar, a musical reference in the city for many years, who will perform a varied program as soloists, and in duo formation.
The concert, with free admission until capacity is reached, also commemorates the 293rd anniversary of the birth of the great Riojan composer who gives its name to the Foundation, Francisco Javier García Fajer, known as 'El Españoleto', born on December 2, 1730 in the Riojan town of Nalda, and died on February 26, 1809 in Zaragoza.
The García Fajer Foundation was born on September 5, 2005 with the aim of recovering and highlighting the legacy of García Fajer, considered the most influential Spanish composer of the 18th century. To project its teaching and artistic programming through the International String Center of Excellence, CIEC, the Foundation has different cultural headquarters in Spain, Bulgaria and Italy.
Kameliya Naydenova. Born in Bulgaria, at the age of nine she gave her first solo concert. He regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous prestigious concert halls and festivals around the world. She is currently a violin teacher at the Salerno Conservatory of Music, Italy. This year she joined the structure of the García Fajer Foundation, as a soloist and professor of the Violin Chair of the International String Center of Excellence (CIEC).
Tomas Navas. Guitarist musician born in Malaga. He studied classical guitar at the Lyon Conservatory, in France. Based in Estepona, he has participated in numerous events throughout his career.
An eclectic musician, he has recorded three vinyl records and a CD with Los Loyas, Los Chacas and Yatiri, of South American music, in Paris (Barckay records). He has also given numerous concerts in France, Germany, England, USA..., and has participated in festivals. He has collaborated for theater musicians, and arranged for artists in France (Rafael Fays). His styles are: Classical and flamenco guitar, South American music, Bossa-Nova and Latin-Ja33.
