The opening of the exhibition 'A Million Points' will take place next Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m., with free admission until full capacity is reached.

Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host from September 26th at 6:00 p.m., an art exhibition by Evelyn Kortum, an artist known as e. water tank.

The exhibition is entitled 'A Million Points' and is made up of pieces that the artist recovers from nature, such as stones or tree bark, on which she paints. She also uses other supports, such as fishing nets, wooden canvases, ceramic or metal.

The exhibition will be open to the public until 9 October, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.

Evelyn Kortum, aka e.wasserhase, reclaims natural waste, uses it as a canvas and works to create sustainable and unique pieces of art, primarily using acrylic paint.

Each piece is crafted with love, passion and respect for its natural form. The colours and shapes chosen not only beautify the pieces, but often enhance their natural beauty. Her inspirations are varied, but mainly emanate from Aboriginal and ethnic art, shapes and often bright colors.

Her practice of Reiki and Tai Chi, mindfulness, meditation, yoga and psychology also define her artistic work. She does not seek perfection, but rather fluidity and the integration of different shapes and colors with the piece itself, formed naturally, to develop creative and unique works of art. For Evelyn, painting itself is often linked to a deep meditation in a world of infinite creativity and joy.

In February last year, the artist exhibited her works in Tavira, Portugal, at Casa André Pilarte and Artesis. In the April 2023 issue of East Algarve Magazine, for which she was interviewed, she is listed as 'Artist of the Month'. In May 2023, she exhibited the exhibition 'The Journey of My Soul' at the Casa de Las Tejerinas, made up of pieces that she recovers from natural waste.
