The Mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, the President of the association 'Frente Bolillón', Luís Rodríguez and the Councillor for Youth, Julia Simón, have today presented the XXX edition of the charity campaign 'No Child Without a Toy', which will distribute gifts this Christmas to some 300 families with economic difficulties in Estepona, Casares and Manilva. In addition, this year toys will also be sent to families in the Valencian town of Paiporta who have been affected by the DANA.
The mayor praised this joint action between the City Council and the 'Frente Bolillón' association, which aims to ensure that children from low-income families receive gifts during the Christmas holidays.
García Urbano also highlighted the “great charitable and altruistic work” carried out by the 'Frente Bolillón' association for three decades, offering help to the people and entities that need it most.
In addition, the association has appealed to individuals and companies to help with this action by donating new toys or making a financial contribution. Those interested in collaborating can contact the association by email at frentebolillon@hotmail.com or by calling 606430888.
For his part, the president of the association 'Frente Bolillón', Luís Rodríguez, has reported that, in recent years, this campaign has come to serve some 500 children between 0 and 12 years old. In addition, he has specified that the selection of beneficiaries is carried out through a database that the association has and a list of users provided by the municipal delegations of Social Welfare and Women of Estepona, Casares and Manilva.
Rodríguez has reported that families interested in taking part in this campaign can apply for it between November 20 and December 13, at the association's headquarters, located on Frente Bolillón Street, from 12:00 to 14:00.
These people must submit the application form, which must be accompanied by photocopies of the parents' ID, a photocopy of the Family Book, updated employment history of the parents, a certificate from the beneficiary of the unemployment benefit or subsidy and an original certificate of registration of the family unit (minimum age 2024). In addition, it has been specified that all those people who are aware of families in need who have not registered for this program can also request toys.
As a novelty, CaixaBank has launched the 'Tree of Dreams' initiative, through which it will grant the wishes of 50 children, with the same number of gifts valued at 50 euros each.
