Estepona City Council announces that the fourth edition of the "Spring of Stories for Equality" event will begin next week. This series of storytelling sessions aims to prevent gender-based violence and promote values-based education. This event will focus specifically on equality and the elimination of sexist stereotypes that restrict both women and men.

The first activity in the series will take place next Thursday, April 10, at 8:00 p.m., at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, with the storytelling for adults "They Also Count," led by psychologist, writer, and storyteller Alicia Acosta.

'Spring of Stories for Equality' is an activity funded by the Andalusian Women's Institute of the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, with funds from the State Pact against Gender Violence of the State Secretariat for Equality and the Pact against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality.

This initiative is a continuation of the work being carried out by the Municipal Women's Information Center in the fight against gender inequality, with awareness-raising activities among the general public. The goal is to raise awareness about equality. In the words of the Councilor for Women, Julia Simón Ortega, "Investing in equality is preventing violence."

Attendance at the storytelling sessions will be free until capacity is reached. Registration is required by calling the Municipal Women's Information Center at 952804704 or by emailing igualdad@estepona.es.
