Estepona City Council announces that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host an exhibition by artist Tijen Ercen starting July 3rd.
The exhibition consists of a total of seventeen large-format works and will remain open to the public until July 16, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Tijen Ercen left Türkiye in 1977 and went to Germany to study. After his studies, he worked for 40 years in Germany in the pharmaceutical sector for the two largest U.S. companies.
In addition to her work, modeling, fashion, art, design, colors, and creating new ideas have always been her passion. She never had enough time to delve deeper into her ideas and bring them to life. After her retirement, she has found enough time to work continuously and intensely on them and create her art.
“It all started with a simple idea driven by a deep passion. Sustainability is my vision. I want to be a part of it, keeping our planet clean and conserving our resources. I create my art with reused coffee pods and vintage frames filled with epoxy resin. I don't repair, polish, or paint them. Some frames I select have been damaged in some way, from their original shape, style, or color. My art is authentic, unique, and my customers receive a certificate.”
I now reside in Marbella with a small business, and I pride myself on personalized attention and dedication to every detail. My approach is based on quality and integrity, ensuring that everything I do reflects my commitment to excellence,” says the artist.
