Dances for summer nights
The City Council is planning ten free dance shows for the summer evenings of 2025.
The Orchid Garden Park, Antonia Guerrero Square, Clock Square, El Calvario Park, and Youth Square in Cancelada will be the dance venues for the summer evening performances.
Estepona City Council announces that various public spaces, such as the Botanical Orchid Park, Plaza Antonia Guerrero, Plaza del Reloj, Parque El Calvario, and Plaza de la Juventud in Cancelada, will host dance performances throughout the summer as part of the 'Summer Cultural Agenda 2025'.
These performances will be led by dance students, mostly from the various municipal academies located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. From July 8 to August 19, there will be a total of ten free performances, beginning at 9:30 p.m.:
Tuesday, July 8, at Plaza del Reloj: FLAMENCO AND MODERN DANCE. “El Taller del Arte,” a creative space directed by dancers José Franco and Inmaculada Carmona.
· Tuesday, July 15, at the Orchid Botanical Park: FLAMENCO, SPANISH CLASSICAL, MODERN DANCE, AND BALLET. Gemma Sánchez's Dance Studio "La Milana."
· Thursday, July 17, at the Botanical Orchid Park: DANCE THERAPY. “=ES” (Equals) Dance Therapy Workshop by the Social Services and Social Integration Department, led by Inmaculada Chacón.
Monday, July 21, at Plaza del Reloj: DANCE. Students from the Dance Academy, directed by Mónica Peña, will offer a showcase of different dance styles, each with their own unique signature.
Tuesday, July 22, at Plaza del Reloj: Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, and Latin Dance. The MT Dance School, directed by Martina Tessaro, presents a modern dance performance with lyrical elements, Latin influences, and classical technique with elements of Spanish dance.
· Wednesday, July 23, at Plaza José Vázquez in Cancelada: DANCE THERAPY. “=ES” (Equals) Dance Therapy Workshop by the Social Services and Social Integration Department, led by Inmaculada Chacón.
· Tuesday, July 29, at El Calvario Park: Spanish Dance, Flamenco, and Modern Dance. Spanish Dance and Flamenco Classroom, directed by Eva Alarcón, and the Ocean Dance and Acrobatic group, directed by Laura and Sara Perea.
· Tuesday, August 5, at the Botanical Orchid Park: FLAMENCO. "Sólo Flamenco" Dance Academy, directed by Ana Guerrero.
· Tuesday, August 12, at the Orquidario Botanical Park: BALLROOM DANCES, CABARET, FLAMENCO AND MODERN DANCE. Ballroom Dance, Cabaret and Oriental Dance Classroom, directed by Mariví Rodríguez, and Modern Dance and Flamenco group, with Claudia Ramírez “La Marivilla”.
