4th summer concert - estepona municipal band
The Estepona Municipal Band has selected a program of modern 20th-century popular music for its upcoming summer concert.
On Sunday the 10th, at 9:00 p.m., in the Plaza del Reloj, with free admission. The concerts will continue every Sunday, concluding on August 24th at the Plaza del Ajedrez, with the solo concert dedicated to Miguel Ríos, "Bienvenidos," featuring singer Serafín Zubiri.
Estepona City Council announces that the Municipal Band will perform its fourth concert of the summer season next Sunday, August 10, at 9:00 p.m., with a program of "Modern Popular Music of the 20th Century."
It will be held at the Maestro Navarro Mollor Music Venue, located in the emblematic Plaza del Reloj, with a program that will begin with the pasodoble "El Capitán" by Camilo Pérez Laporta, and will end with the performance of "Strauss Bonbons" by Johan Strauss Jr. and Johan Strauss Sr.
The sixteenth season of the BME, under the artistic direction of maestro José Antonio López Camacho, began on July 20th. During the six free performances included in this series, the Estepona Municipal Band will perform more than fifty works, including pasodobles, soundtracks from television series and films, major classical and musical works, zarzuelas, modern popular music, and more.
The following performances will take place every Sunday in the central Plaza del Reloj, concluding on August 24th at the Plaza del Ajedrez, with the solo concert dedicated to Miguel Ríos, "Bienvenidos," alongside singer Serafín Zubiri.
The Estepona Band's origins date back to 1940, and it has performed continuously ever since, making it one of the oldest bands in the country. On its 75th anniversary, the City Council awarded it the Gold Medal of the City.
