Exhibition of glass paintings "the tree of life" by ana maria luque
The Casa de Las Tejerinas will host an exhibition of glass paintings by artist Ana María Luque Rojas.
The exhibition by the Manilveña artist 'The Tree of Life' can be visited from August 28 to September 17, with free admission.
Estepona City Council announces that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host a glass painting exhibition by Manilva-born artist Ana María Luque starting August 28th.
'The Tree of Life' is a collection of 20 glass paintings "which reflect a period of profound change and transformation in my life, during which I devoted myself to various spiritual studies, searching for meaning in my existence."
Some works reflect very ancient stories, secrets hidden along the thread of life that recall the maxim that "When you believe it, you create it, and it manifests."
The artist uses glass to reflect, on the one hand, fragility, and on the other, the surprising impact that light produces on the texture as it passes through it. The recycled material sends another, simple message: "that much of what we discard is valuable and we can transform it with a touch of care, beauty, and art."
"For me, it was a pleasure to do it, and an incentive that motivated me to keep going and get through difficult times. I put my hands and good music into it. Inspiration did everything else I received."
The exhibition can be visited until September 17, from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Ana María Luque Rojas was born in Manilva on November 21, 1970, where she currently resides with her family.
Self-taught, throughout his life he has created works using pastel, acrylic, and oil techniques, and has enjoyed the art of furniture restoration and decoration. He has also created murals and frescoes, and for several years now, he has been developing illustration and glass painting. This texture allows for rapid creation of works due to its rapid drying time, and offers highly transparent, glossy, and vibrantly colorful finishes.
The materials used are mostly recycled, and the pigment's ability to be reused makes it possible to transform the works and make better use of resources.
Through the symbolic language of art, this artist shares with us her most everyday experiences, as well as her knowledge of spirituality, which is reflected in some works such as those with Kabbalistic and astrological themes.
