The pianist will perform a repertoire combining his own compositions with versions of classics such as Leyenda del Tiempo and Entre Dos Aguas by Paco de Lucía, among others.
With a career spanning more than 500 concerts in recent years, Diego Valdivia has conquered international stages, such as the Antalya International Piano Festival in Turkey and Spring Culture in Bahrain, both of which are highly prestigious festivals around the world.
Diego Valdivia. At age 5, he received the Christmas present that would change his life: a small Casio with which he began to play by ear the melodies of the cartoons he was watching at the time.
At the age of 9, he began his studies at the Paco de Lucía Conservatory in Algeciras. When he graduated at the age of 12, far from abandoning music, he became interested in composing and performing his own compositions. At the age of 23, he earned a degree in Civil Engineering and currently combines music (evenings and weekends) with engineering (weekdays).
In 2021, he was awarded the Novia del Sol Culture Award in Algeciras, and in 2022, he was named Ambassador of the Campo de Gibraltar region.
His unique fusion of piano and Andalusian roots has earned him increasing recognition in the music world. His rendition of the title track from the Game of Thrones soundtrack was voted the world's best version in London.
