Presentation of the album "essence of woman"
Estepona City Council announces that the Felipe VI Auditorium will host the presentation of the album "Esencia de MUJER" (Essence of Women), a film music sung by women, on Friday, September 26th at 9:30 p.m.
Published by the Unicorn Association, the album reviews eight decades of film music, songs that have gone down in celluloid history, from 1939 with 'Suspiros de España' to 2019 with 'Aladdin'; such as 'Moonriver' from Breakfast at Tiffany's, 'Lady Marmelade' from Moulin Rouge, songs from the film 'Cabaret', the iconic 'Ojos verdes' by Concha Piquer, and Barbara Streisand's version of 'Evergreen' from the film 'A Star is Born', among others.
These songs come to life with local artists, such as Estepona singer and actress Ana Fargas, Malaga singer and composer Virginia Alexandre, actress, singer, and dancer Juana Escribano, Estepona actress Candela Vergara, and Marbella singer La Negra Mayté.
Tickets for the album launch gala (€15 + booking fee) can be purchased at enterticket.es. The CD "Esencia de MUJER" will be given away with the ticket.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Spanish Cancer Association in Estepona.
