Tarifa artist Antonio Galván exhibits his colorful work at the Casa de Las Tejerinas
The minimalist abstract painting exhibition will be held in Estepona from October 16 to 29, and is open to the public.
Estepona City Council announces that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host the painting exhibition "The Blue of the Sea and the Ephemeral Existence" by Tarifa-born artist Antonio Galván from October 16 to 29.
The exhibition consists of more than twenty works in the abstract minimalist expressionist style and can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Antonio Galván Luque was born in Tarifa in 1955. He studied Business Administration at the University of Cádiz and Real Estate Expertise at the University of Vic, Barcelona.
He has devoted himself to traditional painting since he was a child. Initially, he painted still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and so on, but he has evolved and, in recent years, has predominantly dedicated himself to minimalist abstract painting.
After retiring as an accounting consultant, he devoted himself exclusively to painting, which is why he is considered an emerging artist who is making his way into various exhibitions.
Her work is characterized by color. "I try to make my paintings reflect that essential element of life: color. Therefore, color is the hallmark of my personality," she says. She also aims for both the shapes she interprets on her canvases, as well as the color, to be pleasing to the viewer's eye.
He mostly uses quick-drying acrylic on canvas, and at other times he uses oil as the essential color medium in his works. Convinced of the influence of color on people's curiosity, he strives to use the vividness of color in his works to express qualities such as beauty, elegance, and a clear tendency toward the modern.
The artist assures that his paintings are made with the clear understanding that they are timeless and, therefore, do not create trends. His aim is for his works to remain in fashion, "reflecting elegance and being unique and avant-garde," the author explains.
