'Absences' exhibition by artist Andrés Berrío, at the Casa de Las Tejerinas
The exhibition by the artist, who created the poster for the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Estepona 2025, will be on display from October 16 to 29, with free access.
Estepona Town Council announces that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host an exhibition of paintings by artist Andrés Berrío, creator of the poster for the 2025 Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, from October 16 to 29.
The exhibition, titled "Absences," consists of 26 works and can be visited Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.
Andrés Felipe Berrío Pinillos (Andrés Berrío) was born in Medellín, Colombia, where he trained in fine arts and advertising design. He studied drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Socrates Artistic and Cultural Center and earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Antioquia.
He is a visual artist with over 25 years of experience, both in his own work and in promoting other artists, strengthening his technique, creation, and concept. He has participated in various group and solo exhibitions, expressing his feelings through his artwork.
He has worked on the Teleantioquia television project (Más allá del tiempo, episode Pedronel Gómez), with master sculptor Julio Londoño at the 'Sócrates' Center in Medellín, where he has also worked as a drawing and painting teacher.
This year he created the poster for the festival of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Patron Saint and Perpetual Mayor of Estepona.
He has also shared his knowledge with renowned artists, improving his technique and expressiveness. "Through art, I seek a way for every individual to have the opportunity to communicate what lies within their inner universe, thus creating a unique expression that makes us unique," says the artist.
