This year's award went to the work "Anidan minerales" (Mineral Nests), by Madrid-based writer Julia Viejo Sánchez. This competition, organized by the City Council, has established itself as one of the most important in Spain due to its high participation and its prize money: 7,000 euros and the publication of the winning work by the prestigious Pre-Textos Publishing House, a benchmark in the field of Spanish-language poetry.
The award ceremony will be held next Thursday, October 23rd, at the Mirador del Carmen concert hall. Later, at 8:00 p.m., the artist Abraham Boba will perform a concert. Admission is free, subject to capacity.
During the award ceremony, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in a meeting with the award-winning author, Julia Viejo, where they will be able to learn about her literary career, discover the creative keys to "Anidan minerales," and engage in a direct conversation with her about her writing process.
