Presentation of the novel "february thirty and march one" by sergio bazan
Sergio Bazán Peña, an author from Estepona, presents his novel, 'Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo' (February 30th and March 1st), at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses.
The book presentation will take place next Friday, November 21st, at 9:00 PM, with free admission until capacity is reached.
The Estepona Town Hall announces that the presentation of the new book by Estepona author Sergio Bazán Peña, his second novel, entitled 'Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo' (February 30th and March 1st), will take place next Friday, November 21st, at 9:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses. He will be accompanied by Juan Antonio Moreno Infantes, author of the book's prologue; Raquel Méndez, author of the cover illustration; and Begoña Ortiz, Councilor for Citizen Participation, who will introduce the book.
The novel, published by ExLibric, is set in the early 21st century. Its main character, Agapito, by sheer chance, becomes involved in various sporting events as he participates in different locations. He encounters numerous participants, each with a different purpose and detail, and eventually becomes friends through their shared experiences. The vast majority of the physical challenges and rigorous training he faces become a philosophy of life for him.
Sergio Bazán Peña was born on August 16, 1974, in Estepona. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management and currently works as a tax advisor. He has enjoyed writing since his university days. In 2001, he wrote his first book, 'Once Upon a Time,' based on his experiences obtaining his university degree, reflecting the unique challenges of student life and its customs.
For the world of theater, he has written two comedies; the first in 2008, entitled 'Vida Crucis', and a second in 2014, 'Una vida y la vida'. And in his creative endeavors, he has also registered a total of 75 phrases for sugar packets in cafes.
He now presents his second work, the novel 'Treinta de Febrero y Uno de Marzo' (February 30th and March 1st), with which the author competed in the 2019 'Ciudad de Estepona' Novel Prize. The work was written during the eighty days that the registration period for the competition was open.
