Exhibition: "crimson readings" by ana maría villalobos
The Estepona City Council informs that Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in Plaza de las Flores, will host, starting this Thursday, December 18, a new painting exhibition by the Barcelona artist based in Estepona, Ana Villalobos.
The painting exhibition, which consists of 16 medium and large format works, is entitled 'Crimson Readings', and can be visited until January 12, from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, with free access.
Ana María Villalobos , from Barcelona but based in Estepona, is a visual artist who mainly works with collages of out-of-print book pages on recycled supports such as wood, cardboard, foam board or reclaimed canvases.
Her work focuses on the female figure, exploring emotions and creating a dialogue between the duality of book pages, symbolizing tradition and the modernity of young women, and contemporary techniques. A self-taught artist, she supplemented her training by attending painting classes where she developed her personal style. Her exhibition history includes numerous solo and group shows in various venues, including the Málaga Botanical Garden and Artlocker during Málaga Arts Week.
