Miguel Ángel Martos Sánchez was born in Cádiz in 1970 and has lived in Málaga since childhood. He holds a diploma in fine arts from the San Telmo School of Art and Design in Málaga, specializing in artistic photography.
He is a painter and writer. As a painter, his work falls within the figurative style, influenced by children's book illustration and the world of comics, and sometimes with a touch of naiveté. Inspired by the classical world or contemporary motifs, his paintings are characterized by the use of color, combined in a cheerful and luminous way, avoiding somber and neutral tones.
His works consist of scenes with a certain narrative message, with evocative landscapes in some cases and classical or modern architecture in others, where people almost always appear as a fundamental part of the compositions.
Her first exhibition was in 1994, when one of her works was selected for the Painting Competition of the Lions Club of Malaga, at the Unicaja Gallery. Another of her works was selected for the 1st Arteforum Painting and Sculpture Competition in Seville in 1998. Since then, she has held exhibitions in venues, art galleries, and cultural centers of various municipalities in the province.
Between 2003 and 2008 he was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Malaga, Aplama, participating in several of its collective exhibitions.
