The Estepona City Council informs that the 'Elvira Lindo' Children's Room of the Municipal Library, located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, will host the family storytelling session 'Stories for Equality' next Thursday, March 19, at 5:00 p.m., led by Vanessa López Morales.

This program is specially designed for children and families, focusing on emotional and social education through literature. The session offers an engaging and interactive experience centered around stories that promote equality, respect, and diversity. The activity combines storytelling with participatory exercises that encourage reflection and dialogue.

Access will be free and open to the public until capacity is reached.

Vanesa López Morales is a specialist teacher in Hearing and Language, with experience in promoting reading, storytelling, and emotional education. Her profile adds value to traditional storytelling, integrating pedagogical knowledge, attention to diversity, and communication strategies adapted to children.

This activity is part of the regular program of reading promotion promoted by the Estepona Municipal Library (María Zambrano Room), whose objective is to bring books and oral storytelling closer to the youngest children from an early age, promoting the reading habit and shared enjoyment as a family.

The Municipal Public Library also continues to develop programs aimed at young people and adults, most notably the philosophical discussion group "Philosophy and Ideas," which meets monthly at its facilities. This space for dialogue and reflection is designed as a meeting point for people interested in critical thinking, text analysis, and the exchange of perspectives on current philosophical and social issues.

Those interested in participating in the “Philosophy and Ideas” group can register by sending an email to biblioteca@estepona.es.

With these initiatives, the Municipal Library consolidates its role as a vibrant space for culture, intergenerational encounters and citizen participation, offering activities adapted to different ages and interests.
