HOUSE OF THE TEJERINAS

Presentation of the book "infinite wings" by ana paula mena

The Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, March 20, at 6:00 p.m., the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Room of the Casa de Las Tejerinas will host the presentation of the book 'Infinite Wings' (From pain to flight: a true story told in verse), by the local writer Ana Paula Mena.

This poetry collection has been a bestseller in its first few days of publication and, according to the author, “is an offering for those who have walked through the shadows and continue to believe in love, beauty, and inner awakening.” 'Infinite Wings' was born from a profound transformation. With spiritual and poetic language, the work captures the journey of a woman who, by traversing her shadows, manages to heal, spread her wings, and fly. Each poem is a seed of light that speaks of rebirth, of reconnecting with one's true self, and of the certainty that, even in the midst of chaos, it is possible to find harmony and meaning.

Ana Paula Mena's prologue writer is Waltraud Plank Arteaga, a German writer and translator, and wife of the late Spanish composer Ángel Arteaga; the epilogue is by Agustín Hervás Cobo, a poet, writer, and journalist based in Marbella; and Daniela Rojas, an illustrator and graduate in Audiovisual Communication.

Ana Paula Mena was born in Málaga, with maternal roots in Marbella, and resides in Estepona. Her childhood and adolescence were spent between these two cities on the Costa del Sol, where she began to cultivate her passion for literature and art.

She sensitively coordinates the Estepona Poetry Group, a project she cultivates through shared dedication and a love of language. It was in this space that she first made her voice known as a writer.

She is a member of the National Union of Writers of Spain (UNEE) and the Hispanic-World Union of Writers (UHE). She has been awarded the García Fajer Foundation Prize in the Cultural Projects category and the Golden Eagle Prize, awarded by the UHE in the Literature category.

Her work has been included in the anthologies 'Poetas de Ahora' IX, X, XI, and XII, as well as in the first anthology of the Estepona Poetic Group. She regularly publishes poetry and short stories in literary magazines such as Óbolo, Imagine, and Lunáticos. Her poem "De la mano," published in Óbolo, was recognized as the most original by the literary program Escribas y Poetas on Radio Vida.

She trained at the Juan Emilio Ríos Writing School and at Mar Poética, under the guidance of poet Daniel Freidemberg. In addition to her literary career, she is a certified coach and creator of the project 'Awaken Your Power,' which combines words, awareness, and personal growth.

She has presented her work at international book fairs, participated as a literary jury member of the Rotary Club, and actively promotes culture and literature in her community. She has also presented and recited her poetry in important venues such as the Jorge Rando Museum and the Revello de Toro Museum.
