The Estepona City Council informs that Room 1 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host, starting on April 1st, a new exhibition of paintings by the French artist based in Estepona, Christine Arlert.
The exhibition consists of a total of 24 works made in oil on canvas, and can be visited until April 15, from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, with free admission.
Christine Arlert was born in Paris and has lived in various parts of France, including the French Riviera. She currently divides her time between Brussels and Estepona.
After completing a master's degree in economics at ICHEC in Brussels, she decided to change careers and explore the world of the arts, so she began her training in different academies and workshops in Belgium.
The artist states that painting changed her life "by releasing my emotions in a space of freedom." She enjoys art in all its forms, and in the realm of contemporary art, she admires artists such as Gerhard Richter, Rothko, and Zao Wou-Ki.
She works in acrylic and oil, which she prefers for their fluidity, transparency, and all the possibilities they offer, although she also explores new media. She also works extensively on portraits and live models, but has gradually returned to abstraction.
His source of inspiration is found in nature, more specifically in stones, crystals, water...
Her passion for oil painting has led her to exhibit on several occasions, both in Belgium and in Spain.
