Plastic arts and design expo of the ies mar de alboran
The students of the Fine Arts and Design Baccalaureate at IES Mar de Alborán showcase their talent at the Casa de Las Tejerinas
The exhibition is presented as an opportunity to bring young talent closer to the public and reinforce the value of arts education in the cultural and creative development of society, and can be visited from May 14 to 27, with free admission.
The Estepona City Council informs that Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, will host, starting on May 14th, for the second consecutive year, an exhibition of the students of the Baccalaureate of Plastic Arts and Design of the IES Mar de Alborán, thus consolidating a cultural event that highlights emerging creativity in the municipality.
The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of works produced in the various subjects that make up this educational itinerary, offering the visitor a diverse journey through artistic techniques and languages.
Among the works on display, creations in graphite, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, gouache and ink stand out, along with proposals for engraving, volume and technical drawing applied to the plastic arts and design.
With half a century of educational experience, IES Mar de Alborán remains the only school in Estepona offering this unique educational program in the region. This has attracted students from various surrounding towns, such as Cancelada, Casares, Manilva, Sabinillas, and Secadero. The Fine Arts and Design Baccalaureate program was introduced at the school in 2018, expanding its artistic offerings.
The exhibition not only reflects the students' academic work, but also their creative capacity and future potential. The center emphasizes the importance of these kinds of initiatives in showcasing artistic training and its role as a stepping stone to higher education in art schools, design programs, and university degrees in fine arts, as well as its contribution to the training of future professionals in the field.
The exhibition is presented as an opportunity to bring young talent closer to the public and reinforce the value of artistic education in the cultural and creative development of society, and can be visited until May 27, from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, with free admission.
