Estepona joins the European Archaeology Days with free guided tours to discover the city's historical heritage
The City Council and the Regional Ministry of Culture of the Andalusian Government have organized tours of the Historic Quarter and the Corominas Dolmens for this weekend, open to the general public, with prior registration.
The Estepona City Council is joining the celebration of the European Archaeology Days this coming weekend by organizing guided tours to showcase some of the most historically significant sites in the city.
The City Council and the Regional Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Andalusian Government have organized a series of guided tours of the Historic Quarter and the Corominas Dolmens for Saturday, June 13th and Sunday, June 14th. These tours are free and open to the public, but prior registration is required.
A guided archaeological tour of Estepona's historic center, including San Luis Castle and the Roman Tower on Villa Street, is scheduled for Saturday the 13th. It will depart at 10:00 AM from Blas Infante Square, and those interested can register for free by sending an email to patrimoniovivomalaga@gmail.com.
On Sunday the 14th, the activity will focus on a guided tour of the Corominas Dolmens, five unique prehistoric funerary monuments in Andalusia. The tour will depart at 11:00 AM from Parque de los Pedregales, and those interested must make a reservation in advance by sending an email to patrimoniovivomalaga@gmail.com.
The European Archaeology Days is an initiative that aims to bring archaeology closer to the public, promote knowledge and participation in archaeological heritage and highlight its importance as a cultural, social and economic resource.
