Dancing at dusk 2020 season
The City Council schedules nine free dance shows for summer nights
Plaza Antonia Guerrero, Parque El Calvario, Plaza Tres Banderas and Plaza Juanito Valderrama will be the summer stages.
Estepona City Council reports that different public spaces such as Plaza Antonia Guerrero, Parque El Calvario, Plaza Tres Banderas or Plaza Juanito Valderrama, will be venues this summer for dance performances framed in the 'Cultural Summer 2020' program, which includes numerous activities aimed at all kinds of audiences.
From July 7 to September 1, at 9:30 p.m., a total of nine free performances will take place, in charge of the dance students, mostly from the different municipal academies located in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center .
The planned program is as follows:
Dance therapy, Tuesday, July 7, in the Plaza Antonia Guerrero. Performance of the "= ES" Workshop on Dance Therapy of the municipal delegation of Social Services and Social Integration, directed by Inmaculada Chacón.
'La Milana', Wednesday, July 15, in the El Calvario Park. Choreographic exhibition of Flamenco, Spanish Classical, Modern Dance and Classical Ballet of the Dance Studio directed by bailaora Gemma Sánchez 'La Milana'.
Marivà and 'La Marivilla', Tuesday, July 21, at Plaza Antonia Guerrero. Performance by the students of the Ballroom, Cabaret and Oriental Dance courses of the Culture delegation, led by Marivà RodrÃguez, and of the Modern Dance and Flamenco group, with Claudia RamÃrez “La Marivillaâ€.
Peña Flamenca, Wednesday July 29, in the Parque El Calvario. Flamenco show by students from the Peña Flamenca de Estepona, under the direction of dance teacher Antonio Trujillo and guitarist José Fernández.
'Las Lourdes', Tuesday, August 4, in El Calvario Park. Performance of the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Classroom of the Culture delegation, directed by Lourdes Barrientos, and the Ballet and Modern Dance Classroom of Lourdes Bazán.
Martina Tessaro, Tuesday, August 11, at Plaza Tres Banderas. Performance by the students of the MT Dance School, by the director Martina Tessaro, whose students will perform different dance styles, such as Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz and Latin Dances.
Eva Alarcón and Laura Perea, Tuesday, August 18, at Plaza Antonia Guerrero. Performance by the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Classroom of the Culture delegation, directed by Eva Alarcón, and by the Laura Perea Ballet and Modern Dance Classroom.
Ana Guerrero, Tuesday, August 25, at Plaza Juanito Valderrama. The Dance Academy 'Ana Guerrero' presents a show with which it refers to the purest flamenco and to the union of the roots with the soul.
'El Taller del Arte', Tuesday, September 1, in the Parque El Calvario. Flamenco and Modern Dance. Performance by the students of 'El Taller del Arte', a creative project born in Estepona by the dancers José Franco and Inmaculada Carmona.
